There is much confusion about astrological predictions. An astrologer’s reputation vacillates a lot. Sometimes, he is the messenger of God and at other times a fraudster, depending on his predictions going right or wrong. Not only the person but the profession itself is denounced. When a doctor, engineer or any other professional goes wrong, do we lose our faith in the profession they represent? Likewise, astrology is based on astronomy.
Astronomy is the study of the universe beyond the Earth’s atmosphere. Astronomers examine the positions, motions and properties of celestial objects. Astrology attempts to study how those positions, motions and properties affect people and events on Earth.
Therefore, go by astro-logical (the logic in astrology) predictions by using your own reasoning. Ascertain the astronomical facts and the astrologer’s take on the effect these have on you. Don’t get influenced by him, you know yourself better than he does.
Don’t expect the astrologer to predict the end result, as it depends on you to a large extent. His predictions are based on astronomical facts and the effect they have at large. Your results depend on what you do. In other words, as stated in the image below:
An astrologer can give you the magnitude and the direction of the wind, but it is for you as a sailor to decide how to propel the sailboat to your destination. The astrologer tells you about destiny. You have to leverage that knowledge to get to your destination.
Before setting off on the Everest expedition, Tenzing and Hillary consulted a priest who told them that neither of them would surmount Everest and he further predicted that one of them would die during the gruelling expedition. The duo defied the seer’s prediction and went on to become the first men to stand atop the world’s highest mountain on May 29, 1953.
This is where we need to understand the role of an astrologer. He can tell us about destiny, the course of events that will happen but he is in no position to predict the result. He can only say what might happen. Ultimately, you are the judge as no one knows you better than yourself. Forewarned is forearmed. We can defy the astrologer. This is what Tenzing and Hillary did. They prepared themselves for the climb to ensure that there would be no surprises for them. Think of a similar instance in your life and you will realise that it was your initiative that propelled you to your destination.
